SMART SOLAR ARRAY GUARD

The Solar Array Guard developed by SMART

SMART developed this for the solar industry to use on Solar systems. The goal is to overcome problems such as pests i.e. pigeons whilst also protecting the systems from debris i.e. leaves from trees within close proximity.

This initiative was developed after servicing systems and identifying a need. Whilst conducting servicing, SMART noticed current installations for ‘guarding’ products that have been adapted for the solar system and as such no care or understanding of the solar system has been taken into account.

The following issues have been consistently sighted

-Drilling into the solar module to secure the mesh which will most likely void any warranty on the solar panel

-Securing the mesh in a way that a solar service technician/electrician can not gain access to under the panel without breaking the fastener for the product

-Using plastic to secure the mesh which can decay and/or become brittle after use on the roof

-Using plastic mesh which can easily be moved by pests

OVercome these issues with the Smart array guard

SMART has developed a product that is specific for use on solar systems with 4 main simple objectives:

-To be secured to the solar module without impacting the module or voiding any warranty

-To be easily removed and replaced when maintenance or repair is needed

-To ensure the longest life for the product in Australian conditions using quality material, such as stainless steel

-To do the job that it has been designed to do (Keep out pests and debris)
